After I posted about Nancy's book the other day I realized that I forgot let you know that I have one copy of the book to give away!!
Nancy is also hosting an amazing giveaway over on her blog. You just need to comment on her September 4 post to be entered! A sewing machine and other awesome prizes are up for grabs!
I'm still working on my bag - I just have to make the straps - I'll get that posted for you next week!
To enter the giveaway here all you need to do is leave me a comment. To make it more interesting for all of us let me know your favorite way to communicate with your online sewing community/friends!
I love all the platforms - blogging is great when you have more than one photo and funny quip to share, Facebook can help you connect with new people pretty easily, but my personal favorite is the instant feedback of Instagram! You can follow me @amylouwhosews if you feel so inclined. I'm private so if you have pics of fabric in your feed you're in! hahaha!
If you're on Instagram leave me your username in the comments too! I'll close the giveaway Saturday night!

Your bag is so cute. I love the name too. Isn't it great to find a pattern that shows off big prints.
Hello love😘
Can't wait to see you next time I come to town
I use Instagram and blogs to find out what is goin on in the quilting world. Would love to win this book.
I prefer blogs...probably because that is all I really use. Thanks!
I haven't jumped on the Instagram bandwagon yet. I use Facebook to communicate with my sewing friends.
I love Instagram! It's like a big college dorm-- always someone up, always there to chat, check in, or ask or answer a quick question. I find it easier to manage my feed, as well. Facebook is wonderful for keeping in touch to people that are far away, at a slower pace. The blogs and Flickr are fantastic for cultivating deeper friendships. Love the column quilts! (by the way :)
At the moment I prefer blogs as I have not got an ipad or iphone. One day I would like to be able to use Instagram though, perhaps after Christmas! Thanks for the chance.
Instagram for the win!!! Fast, easy, and fun :)
I mostly use Facebook.
I prefer blogs :)
I love reading blogs but the instant-ness iof IG is awesome!! Flickr is a great storage for pictures and I wish people would tag more of them with proper searchable words so searching was easier.
facebook and twitter
I post on my blog very infrequently, but love to visit other blogs and see pics of the latest quilty creations. Also try to keep up on FB.
Love your bag!
Thank you!
I LOVE Nancy's new book, quick and cute! Thanks for the opportunity!

I have a long list of quilting and sewing blog that I check everyday and follow on Bloglovin! I would love to win a copy of Quick Column Quilts :)
I started online with a few blogs and flickr, but now pinterst is a great way to find just the things I'm looking for- it's opened a whole world of creative connections.
I read several quilt-related blogs for information and information. Sometimes I leave a comment or question. I don't have a blog of my own. -- soparkaveataoldotcom
I follow many blogs in bloglovin, I also get emails from them. Thank you for the chance to win. I love Nancy's new book. She made the Modern Column Quilt's look so easy to make, especially for a beginner.
Instagram is wonderful! I will add you, though it's a been awhile since I took a picture of fabric. My twin boys don't leave a lot of time for projects. :)
I use gmail and follow them in pintrest if they have an account. Thanks for the chance

Sometimes I get so bogged down thinking that I have to follow the pattern exactly so I thank you for showing me that I can let go and just create. I loved how you turned the quilt into a bag. I think you really took this quilt pattern and "made it your own." kthurn@bektel.com
My communication is between blogging and Instagram!
Sorry if this is a duplicate - Instagram and Pinterest for sure but I really like in person when I'm creating. Sometimes all it takes is seeing the face of a friend to know its time to scrap or rework. :)
Fun book! I love Instagram. It's so easy. Sarahoviatt@gmail.com
I love Instagram ( @beckann80 ), blogs and Pinterest! I also watch youtube videos when I have some time!
Sew many blessings to you!

I prefer blogs. I'm not tech savvy enough for Instagram!

I prefer blogs.
I follow quite a few sewing blogs, but my favorite way to communicate and chat with others is in private, closed groups on facebook. I moderate one of them and love our members!
