batten down the hatches!

You might have heard about our little friend Irene who's coming, uninvited, to visit this weekend. I drove down to the beach today to check out the pre-storm surf and this is what the cottages on the beach looked like.

Boarded up beach cottages.

So, I'm hoping to get some sewing done. I like being housebound...I just hope our power isn't out for too long.

Maybe I'll even get some blogging done. Who knows.

See you on the other side of the storm!

I'll be praying for you and everyone else in it's wake. Better get some handwork ready in case your power outage outlasts your sewing time. And other than that, have a good weekend.

Hey there!
Just wondering if you were doing a Sew and Tell Friday today?
PS: I'm kind of looking forward to the storm too. Exciting, as long as the damage is minimal! (fingers crossed)

Take care and be safe Amy. We live in Florida, so I know how unpredictable the hurricanes can be.

Stay safe!! I'm thinking of you. This might be a good chance to start a giant hexie project if the power goes for long. But look at it this way - you get to use your food storage for real!
