I also want to wax poetic about the loveliness of the people who made the blocks for me and all the things I learned on my first real foray into free motion machine quilting. I know, you can hardly wait!! ;0)
I've been sewing up a storm working on a few projects, including the kitchen swap and some bee blocks. But I wanted to share this with you today!
I love this bag! If you haven't heard of V. and Co. you need to get over there now! She's got so many ideas in her head it's amazing. Therefore she has a ton of great tutorials and patterns not to mention awesomely funny and entertaining blog posts! I made this bag from her pattern, The Favorite Bag.
It also came with the pattern for this detachable flower.
I've always wanted to make some fabric flowers but have been too intimidated to break out my glue gun. It wasn't really that bad. I need to get over my unsubstantiated fear of hot glue and it's little stringy off-spring.
I haven't made a bag for a while - I kind of had bag burnout after last year. But I think I'm going to be making some more. And definitely more of these little flowers! They are on a bar pin so I can take it off and wear it on my favorite cardi!
So what have you all been up to the last month or so? Link up a finished project below and remember our Sew & Tell linky etiquette:
NEW RULES FOR LINKING UP! Please read carefully. The delete monster will be eating non-compliant links.
1. Please write the post for sew & tell - or add a blurb mentioning sew & tell to a post written since the last sew & tell. If you are linking to a post with your own tutorial, please make sure it was a finish from this week and that the completed project is shown first.
2. One linky per person. (please put multiple projects in one post.)
3. Link to your specific post. (See here for permalink instructions - or email me.)
4. Link back here with a link or a button.
5. Be sure to visit and leave comments on other's posts!

I miss seeing the photo thumbnails for everyone's projects, lol!
I love how your bag turned out...that light blue flower really makes the bag! It looks perfect!
Yay for Sew and Tell! I have to say... the picture linky is cool, but there's a bit more mystery without the pics. :)
Your purse is adorable, love the pin!
Great Friday finishes, everyone! I'm linking up for the first time here.
I love your bag! Vanessa is so creative!! :)
Very nice bag. Thanks for hosting the linky! Should be some fun project surfing!!
Love the bag and the flower!
Your purse is just adorable!!! Love the flower! V is one of my very favorite bloggers! :o)
I finally made it back to sew and tell and so excited!! I was able to complete the hand quilting just the other day! :o)
Have a lovely weekend.
Sincerely, Trish
Love the bag!! I really need to make one of those flowers too. Of all the fabric-y flowers out there, this one is my favorite.
darling bag and the flower rocks ... one thing: better than that danged glue gun is *fabri tac* glue ... it's like liquid hot glue (stings and all) but none of the burn and it really easy to use and dries clear and not quite as fast as that danged gun .... guess ya can tell i hate my glue gun and, totally, forgot where i put it ... thank goodness or i might be tempted ...
seriously, try that glue -- walmart, michaels, etc ...

I love that bag! So cute! I don't think I've ever really looked at V's patterns before, must check them out :)
The bag looks fab. I really like your flower. It turned out great. I imagine it will really pimp up a cardi nicely.
Love the bag! Very classy!
great bag@!!! it is fun to have sew and tell back and be able to participate
Great bag! I love the flower - it's totally "makes" the bag. I have a fear of hot glue guns too, also for no good reason . . . guess I need to get over it :-)
Fun bag, they can be addicting! Thanks for hosting sew and tell.
I LOVE THIS BAG!!!
And I'm SO excited for another Sew & Tell.
So cute! I love that flower. How big is that bag? Big enough for a textbook and laptop?
Need a laugh? I waited all month to link up, and then was way too busy to sit down at my computer. I've been participating in too many "WIP" links. I need some finishes! I finally finished my set of 7 mug rugs. Phew. I'm done with those for a while. Great bag, by the way!

Dang! I missed my chance to link up this time, but I do love your bag and the flower is just beautiful! Glad you made friends with your glue gun -- and so good to see you back with Sew & Tell! ;o)
