This adorable little water bottle apron, with it's little pocket about killed me with cuteness. These were the favors! I know there are 40 people in her group - so someone was busy with all that bias tape. Now I want one.
She bought this quilt during the auction and I just love the colors. And who doesn't love a cute Mary Englebreit anything?
I ♥ the border fabric. And the stripe. And all the little squares.
And the back, it's all just cute! (Why didn't I stuff it in my suitcase at the last minute????)This next quilt is one of my favorites. Dare I call it her masterpiece? It's my favorite anyway. It's a New York Beauty, and I can't wait until it's finished!
These pictures are actually from while ago, but I didn't remember to get it out again to photograph it this last trip. It has the red borders on and is waiting for a beautiful red and yellow floral-y striped border to go on it.
and just look at those points! I think this was paper-pieced (mom, correct me if I'm wrong.) I can't remember the name of the fabric line, but it's a Moda from several years ago.
Wouldn't you all love to see it finished too? (hint hint) Maybe, I'll share it for sew & tell one of these weeks.

How fun! Just seeing the pictures made my morning. I got a free Mary Englebright scene thingy (where are my words this morning?!) at a fabric store last year and I've been wondering what the heck you're supposed to do with that. A-ha! Thanks. :)
Simply love the apron bottle holder...it is cute! And, the quilts are so lovely!

They used to have bottle aprons for dishwashing soap. Do you remember how cute those were? :-)
Wow, the New York Beauty is gorgeous!! Can't wait to see the finished quilt. I can see where you get your talent and eye for colour from.

Hi Amy! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that Mary Englebreit quilt! I know your Mom didn't make it but do you know what collection that fabric is from? As you can tell from my blog title, I adore paisley and that fabric is just too cute! BTW, I see you're in VA. I'm outside of DC on the MD side, so not too far. It's nice to find bloggers on this side of the country!
How cute is that water bottle apron! The red fabric is simply gorgeous. But the New York Beauty is drop-dead gorgeous. I so want to tackle one of those one day (probably when I am feeling invincible). Some of the fabrics I think are from the Gingham Rose collection by 3 Sisters (Moda). I have a few in my stash.
Love your blog - your great quilts are inspiring! I just need some more time in my day, how about you?!? And didn't you just love Material Girls in Utah? It's my favorite place to shop when I go there - which is about every 6 weeks! xo, Nan
the little bottle apron is so cute.
The little bottle apron is too cute! That would be a fun little thing to do for placesettings at a dinner
cute aprons! I love the New York Beauty quilt and the Mary E. quilt is super sweet.
You forgot to mention the middle. You LOVE the middle. I totally would've stashed and dashed that.
What a great use of fabric on the New York Beauty. I love seeing them in more subtle colours like this. Subtle but still so vibrant!
What a wonderful New York Beauty! It is on my to-do list, along with an Indian Orange Peel - for when I feel I am ready to handle them. Not yet :o)
I stumbled across your blog and was pleased to see my water bottle apron that I designed several years ago and put on my blog quite some time ago...your mom did a wonderful job on it and I absolutely LOVE the New York Beauty!
You have a beautiful blog and I'm glad that I found it!
