fabric therapy

I don't think I do it on purpose, but I always find myself ordering fabric when my husband goes out of town  (I've bought a LOT of fabric this year).  I guess the fact that it was cyber Monday and I saw an awesome sale at Hawthorne Threads didn't help the matter.

I had originally bought some yardage of Odyssea by MoMo to make some bags, but I'm rethinking that.  Especially when I saw that I could get a 1/2 yard cut for $2.50!! And then it was even cheaper because they have tiered pricing.  Oh yeah.  It's a great little shop with quick shipping - this came Wednesday, I placed the order Sunday night.

Now I have a nice little collection of it.

What do you think?  A quilt? Boutique baby clothes? Baby blankets?

Does anyone else feel like the post office makes things extremely complicated and difficult?

My daughter asked me today if ornaments were like necklaces for the Christmas Tree.

My kids are also addicted to these cookies!  They are SO good!  (Thanks, Amy - I think.  I've eaten way TOO many!)

I finally took pictures so I can blog about that chair in my header.  Monday's the plan for that.  But Flickr is down, and it won't let me upload anything.

Sew & Tell tomorrow! I finished that bag!

that stuff is adorable. can't wait to see what you do with it.

I know what you mean, and I don't even have the husband-is-away excuse! I ordered some sale fabric from Hawthorne this week, too. I really like that Calypso pattern in the Odyssea line. I'd like to do a one-block-wonder one of these days, and that seems like a good candidate for the fabric. Alas, I have nothing to sew-n-tell for tomorrow, but I'll be checking out everyone else's finishes.

I'm loving that fish print. Now I have to go back and see the name of the designer again. Material Girls just sent me an evil email alerting me that Heather Bailey's new fabric is in their store. I don't need to know that - I have too much fabric right now as it is.

Maybe you should just leave it in a stack and look at it. :)

pretty fabric! I think it would be cute as a quilt or maybe a ruffly little girl top. A peasant top, that's it.

I haven't bought any "just because" fabric for a while but there are a few of the old Amy Butler prints that I want to get before they are gone.

Great fabric. It's nice to ponder over a new project. Love the comment about ornaments being necklaces for the Christmas tree. Too cute. I am lucky in that the staff at my local post office are very helpful and accommodating. Makes a big difference...especially this time of year.

Love the fabric. How come is it I have the same problem as you. Hubby is gone, ordering starts...... hummmm.... yes I do feel like the PO makes things extremely complicated and difficult. I really wonder sometimes what is going on. And I did lose my link on my blog to your blog :-( Will try to put it on again. Have a great day!

Post office - I don't know that they try to make things difficult. I think it has a lot to do with the very crabby cranky unhappy people they hire. If the people I have to deal with behind the counter were happy and cheerful, maybe it would make it feel like things were less difficult. Just had to share my 2 cents worth.

very pretty! i find myself justifying fabric buying unlike anything else! i hesitate to spend $10 on a shirt that's on sale, but i'll drop $40 on fabric for quilt backing like it's nothing.
