sew & tell v.1.0.11 - some sew & tell housekeeping

  • I'm not quite finished with the bag I was working on last night, so I'm going to post about it later today in a different post and link up!  I can have a little extra time, right?

  • I was debating having Sew & Tell next week, with it being Thanksgiving.  I figure a lot of people will be busy cooking, shopping, Christmas tree cutting, holiday decorating, etc.  But if you are so inclined, you may link up a sewing post OR you can link up to a recipe you made for Thanksgiving!  So we'll have a little cook & tell as well!

  • We won't be doing Sew & Tell on friday 25 December or January 1.  I was thinking that the 8th of January we could have a holiday gift extravaganza for Sew & Tell!! Then we can share all the secret gifts we are working on!  I think it will be fun!
P.S. - I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get around to everyone last Friday - things have been a little crazy around here!

If you are new here to sew & tell, here are the few short rules:
1. Link to a post about a finish you had this week (don't just link to your blog, please!) This can be a post from any day this week. Just be sure to. . .

2. Mention and link back to this post so more peeps can join in the fun! If it is a post from earlier in the week, just please add a note about sew & tell . Now that we have a button this is super easy - you can just cut and paste the HTML from the link over there on the right sidebar!

3. Enjoy getting motivated and patting each other on the backs in the comments! This is what I find so fun about sew & tell - sharing and inspiring each other!

I like the idea of a cook and tell, although I think mine next week might be a bake-n-tell, because I have a secret recipe that a bake for thanksgiving that I will share. I also like the idea of having a holiday extravaganza to show all the secret gifts we've all been working on. :) You have the best ideas. Can't wait to see the bag you;re making.

I agree with Lauren...All great ideas. I understand about not completing the bag. You'll see why if you head to my post. I was thinking I might do an update later today as well, but I can already tell that won't happen. Instead I'll be running errands, doing laundry, then girl's night out watching New Moon!! Have a great weekend. Thanks, as always, for hosting Sew and Tell Friday!!

Yep, you definitely get extra time when you need it. ;o)

I probably won't be able to participate at all next week, as I'm having my whole family over for Thanksgiving and then working on "Black Friday" (Yikes. Normally, I avoid going out at all costs on that day. LoL) and the weekend. It's gonna be a long one!

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving! :o)

Love the choice of fabric for your bag. Can't wait to see the end result!

Thanks for laying out the schedule for the next few weeks. I like the idea of showing Christmas projects (presents)after the holiday.

Hoping the craziness of the week ends and that next week is a little more productive and peaceful (?) for you! I love the oranges of your bag! I'm collecting them for a quilt. Wanna swap some left over orange for some of the silery snowflake? I can get ahold of more?????

blessings and take care of you and the tater tot!

Next week will depend on if we have wifi where we are staying ... hope so cause I want to get through the rest of the fall quilt fest... I have hundreds to go still and I want to see them all!

A cook-and-tell sounds great, but it will just be business as usual for me, since we Canadians have already had our Thanksgiving. I'll just drool over all your pictures!

Great orange floral! If we cook & tell, I guess I'll actually have to cook something decent. All of you are great motivation!

I'm a bit late to the party this week as I was laid flat on my nose by a horrid cold yesterday (ack!).

What a cute bag this is going to be, Amy!

That's one really sweet looking bag Amy! Thanks for teasing us! I really do love that snippets line. If you end up doing sewntell on Friday, I have my project improv quilt I can link up to. I've posted pics on flickr and will post on sewtakeahike later this week. Hope you're having a great day, I have to go get groceries this afternoon, NOT looking forward to it. I just had hash browns for lunch. Don't want to get to the point of condiment sandwiches again!
